What to Buy and Not to Buy in November

November is already here, which means a lot of products and services will see amazing discounts very soon. But the month isn’t great just for buying Christmas gifts and decorations; many other shopping categories will hit their lowest prices of the year. But be careful, because November isn’t the best time to buy everything.

Android and Windows tablets

The popularity of tablets is increasing and there’s a huge competition between tech companies, which try to lure more customers with new models, better features, and lower prices. And despite the great demand for tablets, the market is literally flooded with them and considering many brands just released their latest models (Apple’s iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 or Amazon’s Fire HDX 8.9), previous generations will see great deals this month.

Toys

Of course, there will be lots of deals on toys and games this month – it’s almost Black Friday, after all. Previous years, the lowest toy prices were in fact in December, but the holiday shopping season begins earlier now (just like last year) with retailers expanding their Black Friday sales to a whole week. Or in Amazon’s case – a whole month, full of deals, promotions and discount coupons.

Big screen LCD TVs

Generally, November, December and January are the best months to buy TV sets (and basically, all kinds of electronics), but this year, 4K TVs are a big deal. So, instead of waiting for January clearance sales, you will be able to find great markdowns of up to 70% during and around Black Friday. Not only 4Ks will be hot, all big screen LCD TVs will see discounts, especially last year models.

13-inch laptops

Smaller, portable laptops and 2-in-1 laptop/tablet devices will be super hot this month – for $an average of $450, you will be able to get a laptop with current-generation processor, 4GB of RAM, lost of storage and great (even touchscreen) displays. 10-11-inch devices are already widely discounted and you can find a quality notebook/laptop for around $300.

Summer clothing, shoes and accessories

This is definitely not the time to wear T-shirts and sandals, but it’s a great time to buy them as some retailers are still trying to get rid of the summer-themed merchandise and make room for Christmas gifts and decorations. However, don’t buy anything if don’t see it discounted at least 50%.

Video game bundles

Video games typically see incredible deals in the holiday season, but the best way to save is finding bundles where you purchase a gaming console and you get several games for free. There will be many gaming promotions, so it’s worth checking out.

Christmas décor – yes and no

There will be deep discounts on Christmas decoration. However, January will be the best time to buy such items as they are strictly seasonal and retailers want to push them, whatever the price.

Forget about iPad Mini 3 and other latest-generation gadgets

Apple just announced their latest-generation tablets and this means there’s simply no chance to find them at discount. Instead, opt for the last-generation as they aren’t so different really, except the Mini 2 doesn’t have touchscreen and new colour options. It’s same with other brands and products.
