The Emirates Group celebrated the UAE’s 43rd National Day today with a range of activities at its headquarters in Dubai. His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline & Group commemorated the occasion with a cake-cutting ceremony.
In addition, Emirates Group staff took part in the celebration at a uniquely-built Emirati heritage bazaar constructed for the event. Staff tried out henna art, sampled traditional Emirati cuisine, and were photographed in traditional costumes. A special area for children also offered face painting and other activities.
The seven-story atrium of the building was adorned with UAE flags and banners and Emirates employees wore scarves bearing the flag of the union.
From the outside, drivers and passengers alike can see a specially commissioned message enveloping the exterior of the Emirates Group building congratulating the UAE on its 43rd National Day.
Emirates Engineering UAE National trainees also celebrated the occasion, lining up three A380 aircraft for a special ‘selfie’.
