Are you in a mood for celebration? On Tuesday, Dubai is marking the 43rd UAE National Day with lots of special events. In fact, festivities have started last week and residents have already taken part in many of them. If you are planning an outdoor celebration, you’d better know where the best and biggest fireworks displays are on Tuesday night.
The City Walk
Starting Friday, the City Walk at the junction of Al Wasl and Al Safa Road, is hosting daily events to mark UAE National Day. There are lots of activities and live performances, including traditional Al Ayalla and Al Yolla dancers, face painting, LED jugglers, light show, great music and food. And on Tuesday, the programme will end with fireworks at 10.00 pm.
Burj Al Arab
If you’ve spent the last few days in Dubai, you must have noticed the city is already celebrating the National Day. This is probably the largest and most loved holiday in the UAE, so it’s not a big surprise fireworks are also starting earlier. At 6.00 pm on Monday there will be a huge fireworks show opposite the iconic Burj Al Arab hotel. It will feature various performers, international magicians, and of course, a dazzling fireworks display, which will be free of charge. Although an advance registration is required to visit the event, it will be visible from many restaurants and cafes nearby.
Jumeirah Beach Residence
Residents and guests of the city can head to the beach in front of Jumeirah Beach Residence on Tusday afternoon. A live entertainment program is starting at 5.00 pm and from 9.00 pm, you can see a huge fireworks show.
National Day is a very special day for Emiratis, as well as for many expats who live in Dubai for years. It’s the biggest day of the year, so you can expect thousands of people, waiving flags, wearing UAE flag-coloured clothing, driving wildly decorated cars and making noise with vuvuzelas to occupy the streets in a huge party on Tuesday night. There will be lots of confetti, fake snow and silly string, but the fireworks will be really remarkable as always on National Day in Dubai.
