After Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the largest online retailer is preparing to announce its Green Monday Sale. It promises consumers more awesome discounts and deals on popular products.

What is Green Monday?
Similar to Cyber Monday, Green Monday is a day dedicated to online sales. In most of the cases, it takes place on the second Monday of the December. This year, it falls on December 8. Green Monday is one of the busiest online shopping days and it is often referred to as Cyber Monday 2. Retailers first started to organize it in 2007, after noticing that online shopping tends to spike around the second Monday of December.
What Deals to Expect
Green Monday is a relatively new shopping event online. Nevertheless, Amazon shared that it will offer discounts on DVDs, jewelry, clothing, shoes, toys, magazine subscriptions, books and many more. There will also be hot deals on some of the latest tablet and smartphone devices.
Last year, the store offered deals on popular holiday gifts. But this year the Christmas gift ideas are different, although some patterns might be followed.. Kindle device also witnessed a price slash last year. For Green Monday 2013, the largest online retailer discounted most of the e-readers and its tablets by nearly 20%.
However, most impressive were the gaming Green Monday promos. A number of select Xbox 360 bundles underwent a steep price cut, whereas many video games were discounted by almost 80%. New titles at that time, such as like Call of Duty: Ghosts, Grant Theft Auto V and Assassin’s Creed IV were also offered at a lower price. A Green Monday hit was Amazon’s deal on Walking Dead PlayStation Vita bundle, which went from $259 to just $179.
Nevertheless, unlike the Cyber Monday event, Green Monday 2014 will not run for an entire week. Instead, it will be limited to just one day. Therefore, if you want to save the most during this sale, you need to start shopping early on December 8.
