UAE ministries and federal departments will be closed on Saturday, January 3rd 2015, to mark the birthday of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH).
According to the official news agency, a circular on the ‘Mawlid Al Nabi’ holiday was issued by Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources.
Private sector establishments and corporations will also close on Saturday January 3 to mark Prophet Mohammad’s (PBUH) birthday, according to a circular issued by Saqr bin Ghobash Saeed Ghobash, Minister of Labour.
