Unlike The Grand Budapest Hotel, however, it still not available on DVD. Despite that, you can stream it directly onto your mobile device either through Google Play, Amazon or iTunes.
The Theory of Everything
The film that recreates the life of famous scientists Stephen Hawking, The Theory of Everything, got five Academy Awards nominations. Unfortunately, it has not arrived on streaming platforms. On the other hand, you can pre-order a DVD or Blu-ray with the movie from Amazon, which will be released shortly before the day of the Oscars. In other words, you have the chance to watch it before February 22nd.
Birdman
Similar to The Theory of Everything, Birdman’s release outside the movie theatres is yet to come. The film is set to arrive on DVD and possibly on streaming services on February 17th. Gone Girl
Gone Girl is one of the most talked-about movies of 2014. Even though it was nominated in just one category (Best Actress in a Leading Role), it has the status of a blockbuster. As such, it is available for streaming almost anywhere, including on Amazon and iTunes.
How to Train Your Dragon 2
This production is considered to be among the favourites in the Best Animated Film category. Even though it is available on both DVD and Blu-ray, you might find it hard to find it in stock. The film is generally very popular and now that it has an Oscar nomination, the demand for it is bigger than ever. The Imitation Game, which has 8 Oscar nominations, is also up for pre-ordering. Nevertheless, it will not arrive before the 87th Academy Awards.
