Emerging and talented fashion designers from around the world can now present their style, creativity and vision, and be amongst the international fashion industry at the largest fashion event of its kind in the Middle East, with the launch of the second edition of The Dubai Mall Talent Scouting competition.

The scouting competition, which in its first edition shined the spotlight on several international and regional designers, is organised by The Dubai Mall, the world’s most-visited retail and lifestyle destination that welcomed 80 million visitors in 2014, and Vogue Italia, one of the world’s most influential fashion magazines.

The chosen designers will become the stars at the third Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience, the largest of its kind fashion event in the Middle East, to be held later this year. Apart from their brands being showcased at the event, they will also receive mentorship from international fashion experts.

Natalie Bogdanova, Senior Director, Business Development & Operations, Emaar Malls, said: “The past two editions of Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience elevated Dubai as a global fashion capital and positioned The Dubai Mall as an international fashion destination. The event highlighted the creativity and vision of emerging talented designers and provided them a platform to make their mark in the international fashion scene. With the second edition of The Dubai Mall Talent Scouting, we again reach out to all emerging designers to give them a platform to display their skills and continue to develop the next generation of fashion talents.”

Franca Sozzani, Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Italia, said: “The Dubai Mall Talent Scouting is at the heart and soul of Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience. It builds on the deep commitment at Vogue Italia to promote new and existing fashion talent, knowing how important it is to offer them relevant international platforms to display their creativity. The scouting further strengthens Dubai’s credentials in attracting the best in fashion talent.”

Salama Alabbar of BySymphony.com, said: “The first edition of the scouting offered valuable breakthroughs for several emerging designers. It boosted their confidence, helped build industry networks and had their brand and design concepts spotted by the who’s who in the fashion world. We saw enormous interest and participation from emerging designers globally and look forward to curating this year’s submissions. The scouting serves as an inspiration as it offers invaluable opportunities to showcase their creativity and talent.”
