One-day day event to focus on infrastructure, industrial and social infrastructure developments
The 3rd Al Gharbia Development Forum to be held at the St Regis Resort & Hotel on Saadiyat Island on 12 May 2015 will focus on the emerging investment and business opportunities in the Al Gharbia, Abu Dhabi’s Western Region and the location of the majority of the emirates oil and gas assets.
Held under the patronage of H.H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan , the Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region, the Al Gharbia Development Forum is being organised by the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) in partnership with MEED. About 500 delegates are expected to participate in the event.
The Al Gharbia Development Forum will highlight the region’s investment priorities in petrochemicals, oil and gas, critical infrastructure, transport, housing, mixed use projects including retail, manufacturing, education, healthcare, agriculture and food processing as well as government and community services.
Speakers will include HE Mohamed Hamad bin Azzan Al Mazrouei, Undersecretary of the Ruler’s Representative Court in the Western Region, and representatives of key stakeholders that have supported the Al Gharbia development initiative since it was launched in 2013. They include government agencies and businesses most heavily involved with major projects in the Western Region.
“The Forum aims to stimulate investment that will ultimately contribute to Western Region’s prosperity and economic growth,” says MEED Events Chairman Edmund O’Sullivan. “This is the only event dedicated to developing the economy of the Western Region and it will comprehensively examine what has been achieved and what is to come.”
