For first time in Dubai, this summer the Future Filmmakers Summer Camp will give an opportunity to young talents to learn filmmaking.
The Summer Camp is the first of its kind in the UAE that provides a solid platform for children to learn the art and technology of filmmaking and in producing their movies from script-to-screen. Murdoch University’s professionals will lead the summer camp and a new module will be taught each week during the four-week programme.
The course will run from August 2 to August 31, 2015. The first 3 modules will be at Reel Cinemas, The Dubai Mall. The 4th module will be taught at Murdoch University Dubai campus.
The Future Filmmakers Summer Camp conclude with the ‘Reel Cinemas Filmmakers Gala’ on September 3, 2015 where the films made by the children will be screened. The young filmmakers will also walk the red carpet at the event which is to be attended by VIPs and industry professionals, who will present awards in various categories. Nikon will be providing all the necessary equipment for the participants as well as the prizes for some of the categories.
The Future Filmmakers Summer Camp is aimed for children between the ages of 8 to 18 years old and is AED1500 per participant. interested parent may research more on Reel cinema’s website.
