Emirates, in collaboration with the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature has launched its first competition focused on photography and creative writing. Capture 380 is a competition that will give participants in the UAE the opportunity to bring together words and images in creative and inventive ways to illustrate ‘time’, the Festival’s theme for 2016.
The competition begins 6 October and the closing date for entries is 10 January 2016.
Those wishing to participate are required to submit an original photo accompanied by up to 380 words in a caption format in prose or poetry that enhance and imaginatively interpret the image. Entrants will be judged on the quality of their writing, and on the originality of their approach for a chance to win four tickets, in each language category (English and Arabic), to any Emirates A380 destination of their choice. The competition is open to UAE Nationals and residents aged 14 to 25.
Shortlisted participants and winners will be announced at the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, which takes place from 1-12 March 2016, and their entries will also be exhibited during the event.
