The largest online retailer has kicked off the Countdown to Black Friday Deals Week sale.
This year Amazon did not announced a month long Black Friday sale, but the sale just popped up on the second slide of the retailer’s front page.
The company states on the page: “Black Friday 2015 is almost here, but we didn’t want you to wait until the day after Thanksgiving for Black Friday deals, so we kicked off the savings a little early. We are counting down to the big day with even more deals, all day, every day. You’ll find Amazon’s fantastic early Black Friday sales right here.”
The first Amazon Black Friday 2015 deals feature a $179.99 32-inch TLC 32S3800 720p 60Hz Roku Smart TV. This deal saves 38% over MSRP. Amazon also offers discounts on previous generation Kindle Fire tablets. The Kindle Fire HDX 7 is $40 off and the Fire HDX 8.9 is $50 off.
Select LG TVs are on sale with discounts of 40%.
The five Amazon deals of day include Up to 50% Off Select SKLZ Pro Mini Basketball Hoops, Up to 25% Off Select LEGO DUPLO, Up to 50% off Remington Shaving and Beauty Appliances and 60-70% Off Calvin Klein Clothing, Jewelry & More and Up to 73% Off Comedy TV: “Cheers,” “Frasier,” and more.
Amazon can afford this low key Holiday sales kick-off. Despite thin profits, the retailer’s sales are increasing quarter on quarter and the online store goes with strong momentum into the holiday shopping season. The company’s net sales increased 23% to $25.4 billion in the third quarter of 2015, compared with $20.6 billion in third quarter 2014. A record holiday sales quarter is ahead. Net sales are expected to be between $33.50 billion and $36.75 billion, or to grow between 14% and 25% compared with fourth quarter 2014.
Besides Amazon, Microsoft Store has launched its holiday sale today, on November 1. More sales are to come online throughout the day. Once again, Black Friday retailers offer the whole month of November Black Friday deals.
