A recent circular has been distributed by the Real Estate Licensing Department of Dubai Land Department, outlining a new requirement for all real estate brokers operating in Dubai to verify real estate ownership data provided through the Dubai Brokers smart system. This circular has been issued as part of DLD’s ongoing efforts to establish a framework which provides a safe environment for all parties in the real estate market, in order to preserve the rights of customers and investors.
Commenting on this, Mr. Ali Abdullah Al Ali, Director of Real Estate Licensing Department at DLD said: “One of the main roles in our extensive range of operations and services is to provide a safe and sustainable real estate environment for all players in the real estate market. It is the responsibility of registered Real Estate Brokers to preserve the rights of all customers and investors, by verifying real estate ownership data before performing any real estate sale or rental transaction.”
Through the Dubai Brokers smart application, any person can easily enter ownership data in order to verify the information. The Real Estate Licensing Department now requires all real estate brokers to download the said system and verify real estate ownership data before performing any real estate sale or rental transaction.
Al Ali concluded: “Real estate brokers play an important role in supporting DLD’s vision through the promotion of real estate transaction movements in the Emirate; therefore we appreciate their work in facilitating secure transactions. This application will help the brokers in their work, as the DLD works together with the Dubai property market to aim for flawless property transactions.”
The application can be downloaded from Android “Play Store” and Apple “App Store”, empowering all parties with an interest in the Dubai real estate sector, to easily gain the information they need.
