CNBC announced the launch of the CNBC skill for Amazon’s Alexa voice service. The newly launched skill, which is available on Alexa-enabled devices such as the Amazon Echo and Echo Dot, provides users with the top business news, quotes and market information.

The CNBC skill offers the user quotes for stocks, ETFs, indexes, commodities, and futures, as well as pre-market information. The skill provides market data spanning NYSE, NASDAQ, ARCA, S&P Indexes, Dow Jones Indexes, and CME futures.

“We are thrilled to announce the launch of our CNBC skill for Amazon’s Alexa voice service,” said Deep Bagchee, Senior Vice President of CNBC Product and Technology. “Alexa gives us the unique opportunity to offer an on-demand CNBC-connected personal assistant in consumers’ homes, making it that much easier for users to get the top market news and information they want from the leader in business news.”

“Our Alexa customers love the convenience of getting the top news by just using their voice,” said Rob Pulciani, Director, Amazon Alexa. “We are excited to work with CNBC to expand the news offerings on Alexa and provide our customers with the latest news and market information from a trusted and well-respected leader in the industry.”

Users with an Alexa-enabled device like an Amazon Echo or Echo Dot can just ask:

“Alexa, ask CNBC for the latest news.”
“Alexa, ask CNBC how the markets are doing.”
“Alexa, ask CNBC for the stock price of Amazon.”

The CNBC skill is available on Alexa-enabled devices including the Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, Amazon Tap and via the voice remote on Amazon Fire TV. Users can enable the CNBC skill by simply saying “Alexa, enable CNBC” or by searching for and enabling the CNBC skill in the Amazon Alexa mobile app, which is available on iOS, Android and Fire tablets.
