PayPal payment is now an option offered by Apple to customers at the App Store, Apple Music, and iTunes, according to a blog post by PayPal COO Bill Ready.

Starting today in Canada and Mexico, and rolling out in other countries including the US soon after, PayPal customers will be able to pay for App Store, Apple Music, iTunes and iBooks purchases across iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices using their PayPal account. This provides a secure and versatile payment method to meet the growing demand for digital entertainment.

PayPal payment option availability across Apple’s services further expands enables customers to easily make mobile purchases, such as asking Siri to make a payment using the PayPal app.

How it works: Making payments with PayPal

Paying with PayPal is simple. Customers with a new or existing Apple ID can select “PayPal” as their payment method from their account settings in the App Store, Apple Music, iTunes and iBooks from their iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Mac, or on iTunes from their PC.

Once PayPal has been selected, all future purchases with the customer’s Apple ID will be automatically charged to their PayPal account. This includes purchases of apps, music, movies, TV shows, and books, as well as Apple Music subscriptions and iCloud storage.

The new payment option, which brings PayPal’s One Touch to Apple ID accounts, allows for simple purchasing from all Apple devices, including Apple TV and Apple Watch.

PayPal shares are up 3.58% premarket.
