The Dubai Business Women Council (DBWC) revealed that it offers a wide variety of benefits to its members, which can enhance their competitiveness in the labour market, and helps to facilitate their ease of doing business in Dubai. The DBWC membership represents a gateway for businesswomen in the emirate to launch their path towards growth and development.

The benefits include access to a database of DBWC members, which allows members to communicate on a business to business level, and provides opportunities to create economic partnerships. Another benefit of the DBWC membership is the ability to participate in a series of exclusive workshops and seminars that focus on various different topics related to the economic activities of the members, which are designed to raise their level of personal and professional development. The council organizes around 30 seminars and workshops per year which cover a variety of topics that are relevant in today’s labour market. Some of the most prominent topics include Digital Marketing, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain Technology, Cryptocurrencies, and the ideal use of social media, time management, financial literacy, among others.

Members can use the web-based Notice Board that can be found at the DBWC website to promote their companies and businesses by providing special offers to other members, which gives them an opportunity to market their projects among the community of businesswomen in the emirate. The DBWC members also receive a membership card that provides them with discounts at a number of outlets that cooperate with the council.

Nadine Halabi, Business Development Manager at the Dubai Business Women Council, stated that enrolment in the council’s membership is open to all Emirati businesswomen, as well as to all expatriate businesswomen who reside in Dubai. She added that the council also welcomes female business owners, entrepreneurs and heads of private and government entities. She remarked that the council offers its members the chance to establish professional partnerships through its innovative platform that includes a local and global network.

Halabi added: “The ability to reach out to a wide database of DBWC members represents an important competitive advantage that helps our members to manage their professional relationships more effectively, which is a vital resource in light of the importance of such relationships in the workplace. Therefore, we are keen to focus on this service and develop it to better serve our members.”

Established in 2002, under the umbrella of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Dubai Business Women Council is the UAE’s leading platform for the personal and professional development of business women in the Emirate of Dubai. The Council has dedicated its efforts to encourage women to play an active role in building the country and stimulating sustainable development.
