The 26th edition of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) got underway in spectacular style with an opening day filled with amazing live concerts, incredible pyrotechnic shows, family fun and lots of smiles.
Etisalat Market OTB at Burj Park, Downtown Dubai was the place to be with two mega outdoor performances by Arabic pop stars Hussain Al Jassmi and Tamer Hosny.
One of the biggest live music events of the year, the concert saw Hussain and Tamer entertain a sell-out crowd with renditions of their biggest hits. The night of great music took place in accordance with all of the health and safety guidelines set out by the Dubai Government.
The Dubai Shopping Festival Market at Al Khawaneej invited families to its fun-filled Enchanted Garden inspired by ‘Alice in Wonderland’ complete with theatre and music shows, storytelling sessions and a tea party hosted by the Mad Hatter, while fashion retailer American Rag Cie in The Dubai Mall launched a high-tech Augmented Reality journey in-store with entertainment by hip-hop dancers and a live DJ.
Opening day also saw the city come alive with colour as special DSF-themed light installations were switched on creating a wonderful immersive ambience across Dubai’s famous landmarks and neighbourhoods.
Organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), DSF will take place until 30 January 2021.
