Dubai Chamber Adds 51,000+ New Companies in Q1-Q3 2024

Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three chambers under Dubai Chambers, has shared its major accomplishments for the first nine months of 2024. These achievements highlight the chamber’s role in improving Dubai’s business environment, boosting economic growth, and advancing the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33).

During this period, 51,561 new companies became members of the chamber, marking a 4% year-over-year (YoY) increase. This growth underscores Dubai’s rising appeal to regional and global investors.

The value of member exports and re-exports for Q1-Q3 2024 reached AED 224 billion, reflecting a 7% YoY growth. The chamber issued 578,268 certificates of origin in the same period, also showing a 7% YoY increase. Additionally, 3,259 ATA Carnets were issued and received for goods valued at over AED 2 billion.

The chamber reviewed 154 laws and draft laws in collaboration with Business Groups, with 46% of its recommendations adopted. It held 146 meetings with Business Groups and Councils, including Annual General Meetings, and facilitated 69 interactions between these groups and key government entities. Seven new Business Councils were established, representing investors from Costa Rica, Greece, Poland, Mexico, Colombia, Kazakhstan, and Georgia.

In its mediation efforts, the chamber handled 131 cases in Q1-Q3 2024, a 27% increase compared to the same period in 2023.

To keep businesses informed about legal developments, Dubai Chamber of Commerce organized 27 legal events. These events attracted 2,111 attendees from various industries, focusing on compliance and the adoption of best practices.

The chamber’s work continues to support Dubai’s growth as a global hub for trade and investment while enhancing its reputation as a business-friendly destination.
