Russia and other Slavic Countries

In many Slavic cultures there is no Santa Claus or Father Christmas. Instead there is Grandfather Frost or Ded Moroz and his granddaughter Snow Maiden or Snegurochka. Like Santa Claus, Grandfather Frost also delivers presents. However, he doesn’t sneak into the house through chimneys, but brings them in person.
